Located at 3692 Sunnyside Dr, Riverside, CA 92506, The Outpost operates as an italian restaurant serving Riverside in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Outpost at (951) 900-0316; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, theoutpost.co.

The workers were very welcoming. Always there to help and creating a positive atmosphere. The food was amazing from the fresh vegetables to the warm pizza, everything was fantastic. I am very excited to go again.

I seriously enjoyed this place. It's pretty much an upscale pizzeria, they don't really have a lot of a different Italian food, but their pizzas are fabulous. The service was very nice, overall really enjoyed the experience. I did find it a bit pricey, but I think well worth the price.

Loved everything about this place. We got there and it was a tiny wait because it’s is a bit on the smaller side even though the building itself if very spacious, but the wait was maybe 15min…not too long at all before they sat us down. I’m not even sure how I didn’t get a picture of the pizza but it was amazing. We got one pepperoni and one sausage pesto both were so delicious but I think the pepperoni definitely wins. The salad also had so much flavor and a great balance of ingredients. For appetizer we had the fried olives which might sound odd at first but honestly was surprised with how much we liked them. It comes with a garlic aioli which had a bit of a mayo flavor…probably the only thing I wasn’t crazy about but still yummy, I’d recommend the dill ranch with the fried olives instead. You can tell everyone here genuinely cares about the food and service they provide, a must try! Oh and they have craft beers too!

If you are looking for a normal pizza joint, this is not the place for you. What they offer here is more rustic and almost gourmet. With that said, I can’t say enough about our waitress. She was amazing and very attentive. The menu is very basic mainly salad, salads, and pizza with a few appetizers. Nothing wrong with that. The pizza we ordered was delicious (see photos), Even though they forgot the marinated artichoke hearts. The taste was still the rustic pizza I came here for. They added balsamic glaze which made the flavors pop. Our desserts were very flavorful (see photos). The atmosphere here is understated and comfortable. We will definitely be back and I will definitely bring others to try this quaint little place. They have a lunch menu. They also offer beer and wine. You can also pop next-door for a great cup of coffee afterwards. You’ll see from the photos that the restaurant does not have a sign up so don’t get confused and if you can’t find parking in front, there’s parking and back. I think you will Enjoy this interesting twist on a pizza place.
